The Beauty of an Imagination

The Beauty of an Imagination

So Daddy had to get a new dishwasher because our old one kept leaking, which meant that there was a big cardboard box in our house waiting to go into the garbage.  But if anyone has ever had a big cardboard box in their house, you know that they can’t just go directly into the garbage – they need to be played with for at least a month!  So we tipped this box on its side and voila, a pirate’s hideout!  I have my pirate outfit Grandma made me for Halloween and I got a lot of Jake and the Neverland Pirate toys for Christmas and I just love the pirate ship Uncle Chris and Aunty Ang gave Robert a few years ago…lots of awesome toys to play pirates with.  Mom put a blanket over the entrance and has even rigged up a light inside for me.  Sarah helped me decorate it a bit and everyone has enjoyed playing in my hideout.  I spend a lot of time in my hideout when Robbie and Sarah are at school, I’ve become very good at entertaining myself and very good at using my imagination!
