Very First Day of School
The day finally arrived – my first day in kindergarten! I thoroughly enjoyed my first day at Sr. O’Brien with Mme. Fortier. There are 5 boys and 9 girls in my class, two kids that I recognize from Church, I can’t remember any of their names yet, but I’m sure that will come. We did so many fun things today! We made crowns when we first arrived, we had to hunt for the lost treasure which was stolen by an invisible dragon! The hunt led us through the school and ended at the Principle’s office, with candy bags for each of the students. I was able to have lunch at home and play with Sarah for a bit, we had snack time too and recess. The first French word I learned today was poubelle, I’ll let you all figure out what that means! The day went by so fast, I can hardly believe its already over. Mom and dad did pretty good too – I thought they would have a more difficult time letting me go, although dad did mention him and mom being a little choked up at various times trough-out the day. I think maybe the person who had the hardest time was my dear sister Sarah, we have hardly been apart since she was born. I’m proud of her though, she made the best of the situation and enjoyed her time with mom and Nicholas. She told dad a few days ago that she didn’t want me to go to school because she wouldn’t have anyone to fight with:) I’m really looking forward to going back to school, so much to learn and do. Thanks dad and mom for giving me this new opportunity, don’t worry too much, God is taking very good care of me.
