I’m 5!
I turned five today – and what a day I had. I am very blessed to be able to spend my 5th birthday on the beautiful island of Bermuda, with my Uncle Chris and Aunty Angela. This will definitely be a birthday to remember. The day started by doing one of my favourite things here on the island – we went to the beach! Not only did I do the usual fun stuff at the beach, but I went snorkelling for the very first time, I was so busy snorkelling and looking at all the cool fish, that I also really swam around without panicking all on my own! It was soooo cool – I can’t wait to be able to do that again. I told mom and dad that I REALLY want a snorkel of my own, but they reminding me there isn’t much to see under the waters of Saskatchewan….hmmm we will have to see what we can do about that. Mom and Sarah and I also built a really cool birthday cake out of sand and seaweed on the beach – except we didn’t eat:) On our way home we stopped at our favourite Bermudian ice cream store, and I had yummy Rocky Road ice cream – what a treat! Mom and dad made one of my favourite meals for dinner – spaghetti! As a surprise, Aunty Angela and Uncle Chris decorated the deck with balloons, and a birthday sign – it was really cool! I got lots of REALLY cool gifts and lots of phone calls from all my family – THANKS EVERYONE! To top off the evening I had this really cool birthday cake – it was really a wonderful way to spend a birthday.
